Let's talk people-first things. Join the club!

When businesses start their new product marketing activities using digital methods there are 4 key things that are missed in the rush to get the product going.  These quick activities are easy to complete and are an absolute must to maximise conversion.

    1. Call-to-Action button

You may have written great content and clearly and concisely explained your new product. But once a visitor has read it, where do they go? What are they supposed to do? Call-to-Action buttons give visitors an easy to click button the takes them to the next stage of the buying cycle. Even if its to the contact us page or to you online store. Give them somewhere to go.

    2. A/B testing

Landing pages are the key conversion pages of a website. Examples include: downloading of free trials, registration pages, contact us pages. So while you set up one great page aimed to collect information from your visitors – spend the extra 10 minutes to make a second version with a planned alteration. Change the heading or the Call-to-Action button and test it to really optimise your landing page.

    3.  Closed-loop reporting

Everything online can be tracked and measured. Whether it’s the number of times people have downloaded a document, filled out a form or landed on a particular page you can find the answer. Of course you can spend hours really analysing the data (and should be done in an end of campaign analysis) but there are key statistics that should be checked every day to allow for quick alterations and improvements to your launch campaigns.

    4. On-page SEO

Each great new page you develop should be found! When you develop each page make sure you spend the time required to complete the SEO elements.  Make sure a key word is included in content, write a title to match, include a meta tag and name your page appropriately. Some website software make it mandatory to complete this step - if not make sure it happens.

Inbound marketing can make it easy to get information prepared, structured and out to the market.  Like any product launch campaign it takes planning and time to set it and get it ready, but don’t let the small details impact on your success. It'll take you only 10 minutes to make what you have for your product launch be super effective.
